Teddy Ruxpin falls off the corner of my bed as I wake up, I take the cassette out of his belly, put a piece of tape over the right side of the cassette so I can use it to record this new song off the radio. My Mom’s calling me from across the house to come eat breakfastl before heading off to school. I yell back, “Hold on Mom, I’m recording this new Bobby Brown song My Perogative off the radio!” STOP, I press as the radio DJ starts announcing the song over the end of the song. I hate when they do that. Can’t they just wait for the end of the song? So I put my long socks on my feet, push my feet into my new Nikes, then scrunch down my socks as I head towards the kitchen. I grab the Rice Krispies and the sugar bowl. Pour the Rice Krispies in the bowl, put 3 or 4 spoon fulls of sugar over them, and then some milk. I catch the last 10 minutes of Fraggle Rock, grab my Trapper Keeper and head off to school…
Its the little things in life we forget these days, I miss the times when life was simple. The days of elementary school, Saturday cartoons, sidewalk chalk, and staying up to 10 p.m. on a school night was outrageous!
These were the 80’s, a time of nostalgic past that never did leave any of us, it’s just been faded by iPods, the internet, and cell phones. In today’s world we seem to communicate more with our cellphones and Facebook then we do in person.
Well lets take a step back into the 80’s and celebrate them in fashion! Come relive the past, in the present at “The 80’s Wedding”, a wedding reception, if taken right from 1988! Why call it a wedding? Why not? Weddings are probably the best of celebrations, and thats exactly what this is. Lets have fun with this!
It’s an 80’s wedding reception. Come dressed in your best 80’s formal wear and enjoy the company of many others.

The cost of the wedding is $37 a person and this includes your dinner and premium liquor, open bar. The dinner will include pasta, chicken beef, vegetables, salad, rolls, and more. An 80’s wedding cake will also be tastily available.
We’ll eat, drink, and dance the night away. We even do the garter and boquet toss, some limbo, and the guilty pleasured conga line!
You don’t want to miss this night. Take a step back to remember the years that you cherished as a child.

If you want to go, contact me, I will be selling tickets to this event. I need to know as soon as possible, so that we can get a count for who’s gonna be there. So I know how much food to order and stuff.
